
CHILD VISAS
A visa for children of Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens to join their parent and live in Australia permanently.
Child Visa (subclass 101)
A permanent visa that allows a child outside Australia to join their parent who is an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen.
Child Visa (subclass 802)
A permanent visa for a child who is in Australia to stay with their parent who is an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen.
Dependent Child Visa (subclass 445)
A temporary visa that allows the dependent child of a temporary Partner visa holder to stay in Australia until a decision is made on the parent’s permanent Partner visa.
NOTE:
A child must apply for this visa if they were not included in their parent’s application for a temporary partner visa (which has been granted) and want to apply for the same permanent partner visa as their parent.
Adoption Visa (subclass 102)
A permanent visa that allows a child adopted outside Australia by an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia with their adoptive parent
Orphan Relative Visa (subclass 117)
A permanent visa for a child overseas who has no parents able to care for them and is sponsored by a relative living in Australia.
Orphan Relative Visa (subclass 837)
A permanent visa for a child in Australia who has no parents able to care for them and is sponsored by an eligible relative living in Australia.
